THE THOMAS TALLIS SOCIETY

STATEMENT OF INTENT

The Thomas Tallis Society collects no personal information about you when you visit our web site unless you choose to provide this information to us. Where we ask you to submit personal information about yourself, such as your name and e-mail address (for instance when contacting the Secretary), we use that information - and any comment or question - only to respond to your message and to help us provide you with the details you have requested. We do not collect personal information for any purpose other than to respond to you. We will treat that information in accordance with current data protection legislation (Data Protection Act 1998); we do not collect information for commercial marketing; we take steps to protect the customer data we collect from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction; and we aim to meet current Internet/web best practice.

If we decide to change our privacy practices, we will announce those changes on this page so that you are always kept informed of what data we collect and how we use it.

ACCESS LOGS

Our host web server collects and saves only the conventional information customarily logged by web server software. Specifically, for each access: the date and time, the originating IP address, the object (ie page, image, script, document, etc) requested, and whether or not that request was fulfilled by the server. We may analyse these logs from time to time to monitor and assess the "traffic" to our web site: the hits, the number of pages served, and the level of demand for pages of interest each month. This activity does not specifically identify any individual user; our web site logs do not identify you personally, and we make no attempt to identify the individuals who browse the site. We intend to continue improving the design, content layout and usefulness of our web site. To this end, we may monitor customer traffic patterns and site usage, to help us do this provide content of interest to you.

We may link from our web site to other sites, and once you follow a link to another site you will then be subject to the privacy policy of the new site.
